Privacy Policy

1. Information you provide

Depending on how you use Maison, you may provide your name, email address, account credentials, quiz answers, style preferences, budget preferences, fit requirements, clothing size or size range, wardrobe preferences, saved products, feedback on recommendations, product-development feedback submitted through The Maison Lab, messages sent through the Contact page, and testimonials you choose to submit. If you submit a testimonial, you may choose a public display name or choose to appear publicly as Anonymous. You may optionally provide a private email address for follow-up; the email is not displayed with the testimonial. If you choose anonymous public display and provide a name privately, that name is used only for moderation or follow-up and is not shown publicly. If you choose to build a more detailed Wardrobe Fit Profile, you may also voluntarily provide height, weight, and body or garment-related measurements such as bust, waist, hip/seat, inseam, upper-arm, or thigh measurements.

Height, weight, and body measurements are used only to improve fashion and garment-fit personalization. Weight is optional and is treated as a secondary sizing reference rather than a judgment about health, attractiveness, or what styles you should wear. Maison is designed to collect the information needed to personalize fashion and fit guidance. Please do not submit medical records, diagnoses, passwords, payment-card numbers, government identifiers, or other information the service does not request.

2. Purchase information

When you purchase a digital product, payment is processed by Stripe or another payment provider identified at checkout. Maison receives transaction information such as payment status, amount, purchase type, and processor identifiers needed to grant access and maintain purchase records. Maison does not store your full payment-card number.

3. How Maison learns your preferences

Maison may use your quiz responses, Élan profile, Wardrobe Fit Profile, voluntarily supplied measurements, fit-risk preferences, comfort preferences, loves, saves, passes, Shop filters, browsing choices within the Maison catalog, and prior recommendation interactions to improve Current Finds and other personalized experiences. This information is used to make Maison more relevant to you, not to decide which body types are permitted to wear particular styles.

4. Technical and usage information

Maison and its hosting providers may process limited technical information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and measure use of the service, such as device/browser information, session activity, request logs, and aggregated visit information. Maison’s built-in site analytics are configured to keep the analytics session identifier in memory rather than persistent browser storage.

Essential authentication or security technologies may still be used where necessary to keep you signed in, protect your account, complete checkout, or maintain core site functionality.

5. How we use information

• Provide, save, and personalize your Maison account and digital edits.
• Generate and refine product recommendations and Current Finds.
• Process purchases and restore entitled access.
• Maintain saved products, preference feedback, and fit guidance.
• Respond to customer-service, privacy, partnership, and press inquiries.
• Protect the service against abuse, fraud, unauthorized access, and technical failures.
• Understand service performance and improve Maison’s features, catalog, and user experience.
• Analyze Maison Lab feedback to identify product gaps, prototype priorities, price expectations, materials, customization preferences, and interest in future Maison-made accessories.
• Contact you about Maison Lab prototypes, voting, early access, or launches only when you opt into that follow-up.
• Comply with applicable legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.

6. When information is shared

Maison may share information with service providers that help us host the site, authenticate accounts, process payments, maintain databases, send communications, measure service performance, or otherwise operate Maison. These providers process information for the services they perform.

When you choose to follow a product link, the retailer or affiliate network may receive information needed to open the destination and attribute a referral. Maison does not send your private Élan quiz answers or Wardrobe Fit Profile to a retailer merely because you click a product link.

7. Affiliate links and third-party sites

Retailers, affiliate networks, payment processors, and other third-party sites have their own privacy practices. When you leave Maison or use a third-party service, that company’s privacy policy applies to its collection and use of information. See our Affiliate Disclosure for more about compensated links.

8. Data retention

We retain account and profile data for as long as reasonably needed to provide your account and purchased access, unless you request deletion or a longer period is required for legal, accounting, security, or dispute-resolution purposes. Purchase records may be retained as required for financial and legal obligations. Contact submissions are retained as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain business records. Maison Lab product-development feedback may be retained to compare demand patterns over time, evaluate concepts, and document research decisions; optional email information is used for follow-up only when appropriate to the choices you made in the form. Testimonial submissions may be retained for moderation and recordkeeping; approved testimonials may remain publicly displayed until removed by Maison or at the submitter’s verified request.

9. Your choices and privacy requests

You may update many personalization inputs by retaking or editing the experiences available in your Maison account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about certain personal data. Use the Contact page and select “Privacy request.” We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Deletion requests may not require Maison to erase information that must be retained for fraud prevention, security, legal compliance, accounting, exercise or defense of legal claims, or other purposes permitted by law.

10. Security

Maison uses reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect information. No website, database, transmission method, or storage system can guarantee absolute security, and you are responsible for protecting your own account credentials.

11. Children

Maison is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. Purchases should be made only by a person legally authorized to enter the transaction.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when Maison’s services, technology, vendors, or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top of the Policy will reflect material updates.
