Accessibility at Maison d’Élan
Luxury should adapt to you. That includes how you access, navigate, understand, and shop the Maison experience.Last updated September 24, 2026Our commitment
Maison d’Élan is working toward an experience that is usable by people with a wide range of visual, auditory, motor, cognitive, and neurological disabilities. Accessibility is treated as part of the product experience, not as a separate version of the site.
Our current design and development work uses the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA as a practical target for the customer-facing website.
Accessibility features
- A keyboard-accessible “Skip to main content” link.
- Visible keyboard focus indicators and enlarged interactive touch targets.
- Semantic headings, navigation landmarks, form labels, status messages, and error announcements designed to support screen readers.
- Text alternatives for meaningful editorial and product imagery.
- Controls that communicate selected states with more than color alone.
- Support for reduced-motion preferences.
- High-contrast body text and strengthened contrast for small champagne/gold labels on light backgrounds.
- Responsive layouts that support browser zoom and smaller screens without requiring a separate mobile experience.
Shopping and personalization
The Shop, Élan quiz, Wardrobe Fit Profile, Current Finds, account flows, and digital-edit checkout are being designed for keyboard and assistive-technology use. Product preferences such as Love, Save, and Pass expose their state to assistive technology, and dynamic checkout or form messages are announced where appropriate.
Third-party services
Some parts of the experience may open services operated by other companies, including retailers and Stripe checkout. Those services control the accessibility of their own websites and interfaces. If a third-party step prevents you from completing a Maison purchase or accessing something you purchased, contact us and we will work with you on a reasonable alternative where we can.
Need assistance or found a barrier?
If something is difficult to use with a screen reader, keyboard, voice control, magnification, high-contrast settings, reduced motion, or another assistive technology, we want to know. Tell us the page or feature, what you were trying to do, and the assistive technology or browser involved if you are comfortable sharing it.
Email info@maisondelan.com or use the Contact page. Accessibility requests are welcome whether or not you identify a disability.
Accessibility is ongoing.
Digital accessibility requires continued testing as content, products, devices, browsers, and assistive technologies change. We will continue reviewing Maison as the store grows and prioritize barriers that prevent people from discovering, purchasing, or accessing their Maison experience.
